G. Meurer invents a burner, registration of a patent.
Foundation of the "G. Meurer", metalworks & fine casting.
Major products are white spirit cookers.
Production of uniflame gas cookers.
Steadily growing production with 250 employees.
Inauguration of a modern factory in Cossebaude close to Dresden.
Inauguration of a branch factory in Tetschen (today Decin/ CR) with 250 employees, existed until 1945.
Conversion of the company to PLC "Eisenwerk G. Meurer AG Cossebaude".
Inauguration of assembly plants in Budapest and Barcelona.
Distribution of gas and coal heated stoves throughout Europe under the registered trade mark "Meurer Prometheus". The logo was the "Fackelläufer" registered up to present.
Cooperation with "Vereinigte Metallwarenfabrik" in Hamburg-Altona. Distribution under "Haller-Meurer".
Inauguration of a new enamelling plant in Königsbrück/ Saxony.
After the second World War, the factory equipment was disassembled as "reparation payment".

Depropriation and nationalisation by the socialistic government of the GDR.

Integration into the National Trust of "NAGEMA". Enabling an expansion of distribution to Arabian and North-African markets.
Employment of some 1.450 employees in 5 plants.
Privatisation as "Gastro-Gerätebau GmbH". Some activities become independent. Enormous investments into production facilities and technologies.

ascobloc offers a broad and complete range of products for the food service industry: cooking and refrigeration equipment as well as cafeteria-projects and meal distribution systems. Thus, ascobloc is one of the few full system manufacturers in Germany.
The distribution network is steadily being raised: implementation of a regional sales network in Germany as well as international sales representations in various countries. Outstanding projects listed among the references (Chancellor's Office Berlin, Allianz Arena Munich, Emirates Palace Hotel Abu Dhabi) confirm the company's success.
